Yesterday evening was not for films so I haven't watched anything. But today.. Today I watched one work. One work of impressive director. Work of really strange director. That's not for all. That's Lars von Trier. I wanted to watch his last film extremely bad. But I had no possibility to do that. And now I found it in the internet.. And what can I write about it? That will be words of one girl who wrote her feelings about this piece of art.

As you already understood, this is  "Melancholia":

Like I have written in the last post, I have not watched a lot of films by 11 days, or something like that. But now I'm on the film-way again, yay! School is not a problem to watch something really. I write it because I remembered that I have written something about school when September started. Whatever. I watched two films by yesterday's evening and today's day :D

The first one is "Sala Samobojcow" ("Suicide Room"):

"Dominik is an ordinary boy. He's got loads of friends, the hottest girl in school, rich parents and money to spend on brand-name clothes. But one innocent kiss with a mate changes everything. He begins to isolate himself from the outside world, spending all his time on his computer. He meets an anonymous girl who introduces him to the 'Suicide Room'"© IMDb

Polish dramas are extremely heavy dramas. I do not say that all of them are like that but.. All which I watched were really heavy. After watching them I just wanted to go to some kind of place where I will be alone. This one is fron that depressive ones.

The first and the main thing which I liked about this film is - real drama. Heavy film which brings you really depressive atmosphere, that atmosphere which it has to bring. The second thing is - theme of virtual world. It's very actual for our days. And one more thing which completes all the others and makes this film look good is - music. Music in here is nice. All genres. From opera to hardcore. And it sounds really cool, fits film well.

But.. It couldn't be that good. There is a thing which I didn't like at all. It's emo theme. Oh.. Boy is real emo xD And that's a minus of this work.

Anyway, this film is very good. Heavy. Powerful. But do not watch it in a great mood because it will not be so great after watching.

I have watched original version of this film a bit time ago and I liked it as Guillermo del Toro did. I have written that I believe in del Toro and.. I am not disappointed in him, yeah.

The story is original. The first thing became other is Sally. In original film that was a woman but in here that is the girl, little girl. The second thing is atmosphere. Of course, old film atmosphere you can feel only in old films but.. Here atmosphere just more creepy. It's not that old film which you can watch and laugh at. And the last one - great music, music again. Great music is that thing which makes bad film look better, good film look like masterpiece. Music is one of the main parts of film. 

If you really understand what horror must have so you will like this film. If you do not understand so you will not.

Oh, I have not been here for really long time. For a week, oh, no.. For more, for 11 days. And I had weird time at this days. You know, I have not watched a lot of films, I have not been to internet for a week, I have not done anything interesting. So.. That was extremely weird time. 

O'kay, actually, I have done one thing. I have gone to other town. That was pretty funny and lovely travelling. Together with several other people from other classes we had this excursion. I will not write about everything stupid we have done.. but that was cool.

+ Of course, a bit films I watched. I will write about them now and try not to forget about my blog again.. We'll see :D

I have ignored Blogger yesterday because I just was too lazy to write anything instead I watched a bit films. But today I'm, actually, very lazy, too. So I won't write another long and post about watched films, with thousands of words. I will just post a picture + plot + mark.. and I think, that's all. I thought about writing a few words. So, as you can see, there is not really high marks for these film despide that fact that I appreciate all director's and other's works. But I just have no idea about how they made these things. Not interesting, not well-done, not catching. Like everyone just wanted to make film and by five minutes they did write a script. So.. I just have another ididotic films in my watched things. 

Anyway, we should watch everything to know really what's crap and what's a masterpiece. Because if you watch only good films, someday you'll think that it's crap.

New school week goes on. I've got a lot of homework, I'm tired, I do not wanna go there again but.. Whatever. We are talking about films :D And today's are horrors. I love horrors, I love old horrors - and I always write that. Really always. So these two horrors which I watched were definitely different. One of them I liked and other not. 

Hmm.. I noticed that i write here about good works but if it's bad I do not write that it's definitely bad. I write like "Oh.. it's interesting if you wanna sleep on it.", "It's nice work but not really catching". You know, I do not write that it's just bad and explanation of my words. But if you read carefully, you will understand where I wanted to say that film is crap and where not really. So do not be confused :з

Today's first film is "The Children":

This is that film which I didn't like. But I know a lot of people who said that it's masterpiece, that it's amazing, awesome, great, wonderful and blah-blah-blah horror. So that was the reason to watch. I always listen to people. If they say that film is "Extremely awesome" so it's better to watch it and get your own opinion. So I sat down and watched this thing.

It was tedious and boring at first. And I wanted to turn it off because there is no way to watch film 'till the end when you just do not wanna do that. But I have not turned it off and watched. All the motion which goes in it is really boring. I haven't seen nothing what can be scary. So I do not know what poeple which I listened to found in it. 

O'kay. Boring - isn't extremely bad because there are a lot of films which are worse than this work. But I would recommend you to watch it when you got to bed :D

So.. this is original and it's re-make again. But I watched only original so I can't write about how watchable re-make is. Anyway, I believe in Guillermo del Toro. And I think that he will not kill the film which he liked very very much as he said. So. like you already understood, this is the film I liked as del Toro did xD I really understand his taste because it's really good. 

As all old films, this one has old effects to make their monsters but it has awesome music and atmosphere. You hear all the whispers, you listen to this scary music and shivers running through the skin. Despite that fact that nothing really scary was in that moment. But the music. You see all the mnsters and you laugh. But inside you understand that it's very well-made for that time. That it can be scary. Can be the thing to be afraid of. +

Aww, I absolutely love this crazy frightening atmosphere of old horror. And I just do not understand how moviemakers make their films with all these special effects and have no way to be compaired to old ones.

Oh yeah, this is the first time I make a double post. Actually, there was one double post but it was by the American time, not Russian. In my country I was writing that posts in two different days, not in the one. So.. this is my first double post :D 

O'kay. My morning post was really short, the shortest one in here. Because I just had no time to write a long one. And I had no need to do that, actually. I wrote just about "Hachiko".. And I really think that it doesn't need a lot of words, that little phrase is enough. Because this story is amazingly sensual. And I can't write a lot about it because I start to cry. 

Huh.. So.. Actually, I watched not only one film so I will write now names of others + picture + plot + my mark and may be a few words.

1. "Scent of a woman":

I know that it's very strange to see this mark for this film. Because if it's 9 so it pretends to be 10 but.. Why is it like that?

I wanted to watch this film for a long time. My parents said that I do not have to watch it in Internet, that we must buy it and then I'll watch. So I waited and waited. We couldn't find it, we couldn't buy it, we frgot about it. Always was something what stopped us from this buying. But.. This time, on the weekend, I watched it. And..

This film is a story. Slow and sad, full of life and little pieces of happiness. It is very interesting film. You watch it and wait for something but there will be nothing explodive. It is quiet film. Everything goes like it has to go. So.. I loved it but not enough to say that it is a masterpiece.

This work is one of that which I wanted to watch very much, too. So when I saw that my dad bought it, I was really excited. But what can I say after watching it?

This is a story of John Lennon. One of that fantastic four  - "The Beatles". So if you like him, it will be very interesting to watch, to know his childhood story. If you like "The Beatles" it will be interesting for you, too. Because this film shows every detail of his young life so it is very cognitive to watch. 

When you start to watch, you can say that it is boring. But you just do not understand. It's British film so it is very slow and has a lot of details. Although they took not really nice actors to play these men because, you know, they have to be same but they are not really. Anyway, it is very good film for knowing about John Lennon`s young life.

This film is very sweet. About love, about friendship, just about people's feelings. 

You can watch it if you need some rest for your brain and for your body because it's very good at it. So.. Watch it and relax.

Today was another school day so I will not cry about it because, actually, it was pretty nice. We found out that tomorrow will be less lessons because our algebra teahcer not at school. Whatever. There is nothing interesting in a school day.

So.. What about films? I have always repeated that I am in love with old horror films and old films, in general. Because they are amazing. And I have a lot of things against new ones, especially re-makes. But I do not say that I hate new films, NO! Actually, there area lot of interesting works but.. Anyway, old ones are better. So I watched one again.

So, so.. These two films are just like one because it's original and re-make. When I just started this blog, I have written about films like that, I'm about original and re-make, I'm about "The Last House on the Left". And I wrote that I liked the mood of it, not this cruel scenes. I liked old version more. So.. Here is everything the same. 

Everytime you watch films like that, you have to watch original version firstly and only after that watch re-make. Because if you do conversely then you won't think that old one is better because you become a part of new version.

This film tells us a vampire story. Thanks Aliens, that it's not "Twilight. Saga." things because I'm sick of it. In fact, this films has nothing in common with that shit. But it have no reason to be like that, actually. Because it is horror film, real old horror. 

This interesting story about a boy who found out that his neghbour is a vampire, is very nice. You know, this film has awesome atmosphere. May be if you watch it at night, you'll be scared. Because it really brings this mood. + It has amazing humor, as all old horror have. I think that you remember Freddy Kruger's lovely sense of humor. So this one has the same.

In general, I think that it's very well-done film. I watched it with great pleasure. Hope that you too :D

Yesterday evening I was sitting by the computer, looking for something to watch. I realy wanted to find interesting horror film. Not comedy, not drama, not musical, just horror. And I found something but I coludn't watch it because it was too late. So I came home after school, did my homework and set by the computer again. I opened that film and started to watch, it's only one again. But you know about my hellish school so I just have no time for more xD

This film is "Xtro":

I wanted to watch a horror film so when I noticed this one, which was pretened to be a nice one because it's old and have an interesting theme, I turned it to the bookmarks of my browser. And.. When I got a time, I turned it on and watched..

Hmm.. I love old horror films as I have written earlier. Because they have special atmosphere, because actors were playing not because of money but for people, because all the moviemakers were doing their job because they wanted to bring something good and interesting to people but not because of money, as it all goes now. So I always loved and watched old films and had nothing against them. They are all very interesting, even cruel ones which were made such a realistic feelings that you just believe that it happens to them right now. Because they could do that, so they did. Anyway. What about this one?

This one is not pure horror but a bit sci-fi. My favourite sci-fi horror is "Alien" because it was made really good. Interesting and scary a bit. So.. I took that one because in "Xtro" alien kills people. And you can say that it's stupid. I can say that like that, too. But this film has an atmosphere, horror atmosphere. And despite that fact that it's a bit stupid + has something weird in it, it's pretty nice horror. A middle one. So if you are not in all that new horrors, you'll understand me.

School is eating my time like a hungry monster. I do not know what to do with it. You know, I had always spent my time on everything but school so when I understood that this time is over I was really upset. Because, you know, it is very difficult to study and have rest at the same time. So.. I think, that I will try to study a bit, then have some rest, then study again xD My teachers will not like it but.. WTF? I will die if I will spend all my time on studying x_x

And now about films. Because of hungry monster - school, I have watched only one film. That's so strage to me, to watch such a little number of films because I love to do that. Oh.

That is "The Lost Angel":

What can I say about this film? You know, it's about to be art-house, I think. Because not everyone will like it, not everyone will understand it. It's about cult, about religious cult. And no one gives it a point because they see only "good people who believes in God", but are they?

A lot of wars were started by these "good people" but no one see it. And, you know, at this time, I wanna ask: "Do you really believe in God?" Because I do not understand how such a kind and lovely people can kill others who did nothing. They just do not believe so they must die, they believe in others Things so they must die. that's kinda strange. Hmm.. Let's go out of history theme xD 

So when you talk about this film, there is no any strong point. Because it's not bad but not a masterpiece, too. It's not extremely interesting but not just boring, too. I always have a problem to give a mark to film like that. Because they are so\so but that doesn't make them definitely bad. But if you wanna watch it then watch it in the night. So you will understand truly: interesting or not.

Films, films, films, I watched a couple of films again. I just wanted to have a rest from school because studying makes me feel myself really tired so I watched films. That was dramas because I think that this sad stuff can relax. Anyway..

The first one is "Tres metros sobre el cielo":

She said me that this film is absolutely brilliant and that she watch it more and more, watch and watch. She always wanna re-watch it. She said that this one is pretty nice. But what I have seen?

I have seen nothing special, actually. Another strange love story with it's tears and figts, and other stuff. + To be really honest I have to write that I watched it only for a half because my brain just stopped me.  

Anyway, I do not try to stop you to watch it because you can like it. This is just your choice :D

This one is about love, too. But I liked it more despite that fact that it is Japanese (and I'm not really in love with their art). So..

The first thing which made me love it was lightness. Lightness of this film. You just watch it and feel such a calmness because of the atmosphere. It's kind. So it makes you love it.

The second thing which made me love this film was just how it looks. It is very bright despite that fact that there you can see a lot of rain. Because of kindness and naiveness in it.

And the last thing which made me love it is sad line which you will see while watching it. It really can make you cry, especially if you always cry at dramas.

In general, I can definitely write that it's lovely film which you have to watch if you need some love`♥

This one is about life, love, hate, pain. 

I have been waiting for this film for a really long time but when I got the possibility to watch it, I noticed that it is a bit tedious. By the time it goes (93 min) you got tired like you watched it for a 2 with a half hours. May be this is only for me like that because I watched it in English so I had to think about all their words to translate them to myself :D

Anyway, it can be tedious and boring for you. So if it's like that then you have to stop watching it because you will fall asleep. But if you liked it like I then watch it 'till the end and just enjoy.

Studying, studying, studying. Studying eats my time like it's really hungry xD Yeah, you can think that: "It was just your first day but you are talking about something shitty, you are an idiot." But, actually, you are wrong. Because I came today after school and fall dead, I was really tired and about to faint but I haven't, so that's o'kay. Anyway, school is a Hell >> 

But although this sad fact, I watched two films, two Japanese films. I do not know why but I chose Japanese films for watching today. That was kinda strange but.. What I can say more about them?

The first one is "Orochi":

This film was pretended to be a horror but I saw just another Japanese film with a lot of things which I can name in others, same ones. So that was kinda boring buuut..

That's still horror. And despite that fact that I knew about this monster, it was entertaining to watch then, when you understand what goes, if you got used to this atmosphere.. I think that enough people will love this film because, actually, it is not bad but not a masterpiece, too. Anyway, that ones who love Asian films will watch it with open mouth or not, I'm not supernatural xD

In general, another Japanese film which is interesting enough and can be scary at some moments.

Compairing to film above, this one is amazing! But, actually, I could not compare them because they have different genres and plot at all. If that one is horror so this one is drama.

This is very beautiful and sensual film about never-ending love. About pain and fear. About romance. About true L.O.V.E.

So.. If you wanna relax and feel all that beauty then watch this film and enjoy`♥

Tomorrow is very hard day - first day of school, again. So I'm very angry about this fact and I wanna get no sleep tonight, yup! I will watch horror films if I am not fall asleep. Actually, I think, that this is bad idea because I know myself and, of course, I will fall asleep 'till alarm rings >> Anyway..

Today I spent a bit time on watching "Trick 'r Treat":

I love this film although I do not like films by comics because I think that they are not real at all and this makes them look bad. But! This one is amazing *-*

I love Robert Downey Jr. so that was the first reason to watch. But I do not like comics films so that was the reason not to spent my time on it. Until my father said: "It is amazing movie! Watch it now!" xD My father have good taste in films so I believed him and that was not a mistake because I loved this thing very much. 

If you love films by comics so this one is for you, even if you do not love them then this one is for you, too xD

Ola'la~ I have two film to write about for today. They are both horror and they are both originally Japanese but re-made by American.

The first one is "Dark Water" ("Honogurai mizu no soko kara" in Japanese version):

So.. Japanese films has one murderer - it is a ghost of a girl with long black hair who died different ways. Anyway, you look at this girl and feel fear inside you because she is really scary. No, not her look but her motion. Whatever. I have to talk about American version. 

People, I have laughed out loud. Why? Because a girl-ghost-killer was Russian xD Yup. I knew that we are - Russians, very cruel but not like that. I do not think that little girl can kill a woman even she is a ghost, Russian or Japanese, or American. O'kay, That was really weird to write that but I wanted xD Actually, I think that it's better to watch Japanese version of this film, because it's original, although that ghost is a little girl, too xD

I'm sorry but I really think that it's hilarious. Because little girl kills everyone. Little girl! Oh God, she is little, she will not kill anyone.

On this week I spend a lot of my free time on walking with friends so I can not watch a lot of films. But there is a weekend starts! So after it, on Monday, I will write about a few films, like.. 5 or 6, I think. But for today there is only one work. British work.

So.. This film, I think, is more interesting than "The Runaways", for example, although they have one theme - music groups. 

The first thing which made me wanna watch this film was.. were actors. These two actors which you can see on the screenshot. I'm about Ben Barnes and  Robert Sheehan. They are very lovely and adorable men and as actors they are good, too. So.. That was the first thing.

The second thing is theme, I'm about music, yeah. I love music theme in films. But, actually, if we are talking about this so I love musicals more but films about groups not bad, too. I think that moviemakers can do something interesting on this thing. + films by books are fine. 

And the last thing but not less main is taht this film is British. I love British films because of their actors who talk on perfect English with amazing accent. Also they have something charming so you wanna watch them 'till the end.

Last week of summer and last week to watch films like maniac. Because I will not have enough time to watch really a lot of things while studying. That sucks. But I think that one film each day I will watch definetely. Anyway, today I watched two horror things, yeeeeah :D I love horror so I hoped to watch something interesting, but did I?

The first one is "Waxwork":

I love old horror films because they can be creepy but without losing it's funny line. So you watch it with great pleasure. But horror which are made not a long time ago built on special effects. Like "Hey you, look! We can make a real ghost and that's cool" psssh.

So when I heard about "Waxwork" I extremely wanted to watch but I had no time and then forgot about it. On the Monday's night I watched "House of Wax". Actually, I think that it is an idiotic film. May be interesting but only if you watch it at night to have a great sleep. But I remembered about "Waxwork" and have not forgotten it. 

Watched. And that was great :D Yeah, it looks a bit naive, a bit weird, unnatural at all but it has something charming what makes you wanna watch it `till the end.

The next and the last one for now is "Madhouse":

The first thing which always makes me laugh like mad is a translation. I understand that our darling Russian translators name films by their plot. But they do not think that original title is better, I think. So.. This film was translated like "House of Fear" but that is not it's name. O'kay, "House of Fear" made me wanna watch it but I laughed out loud when I saw it's original title and understood that translation is different again.

So.. What about film? That was not such interesting as I expected. I hoped that it will be scary because first moments were good to be afraid of them. But I will never ever watch really scary horror from that which are made now. 

One more thing which is making this film bad is that fact that you have a feeling like you have watched it somewhen before. And that's not only feeling. There are a lot of films like that. 

So watch it if you have a lot of free time and you do not know what to waste it on.

Today is not a home day so my August Maraphon will be fiiled only with one more film for now. But I know for sure that I will watch something today, but only in the evening :D

This first and last film for now is "Repeaters":

I can't say that this film is the worst one because that's not true. I can't say that this film is uninteresting at all because that's not true.

Actually, it's interesting enough. But.. Not enough when you have great mood and just wanna watch something what will make your feelings a bit other, or to stay them at this mood. Because this film you have to watch only when your mood is normal - closer to bad.  This picture has thoughts which you will think about only when you want. So.. When your mood is great you will not think about this kind of thoughts, never.

But, anyway, this film is nice-done but not great. So.. Watch only if you really think that it is that thing which you wanna think about now :D

I have not written here because yesterday was my Birthday and I wanted it to be lovely and natural, without computer or TV, without all this technics. I just wanted to go for a long nice walk with my friends. But that was before I remembered that every year on my B-day there is pouring rain. So.. I decided just to stay calm and do nothing like I did all summer. 

But today I watched two films, hoping they were interesting but that was not like that, again. Oh.

The first one is "Bug":

That was the last time when I choose film because of it's name. Actually, on russian this title was named like "glithces" so I thought that it will be something funny and interesting. But that was not.

The first thing which made me upset was our translators who gave this film tha wrong name. Because "bug" is like "beetle", not like "glitches" at all. But I understood that they called it so because main characters had real freaking glitches. 

The second thing and the last for now, which made me upset was plot. I have not read it before I watched film but.. Film made his task. It was boring and, actually, stupid. Especially, the last scenes when you see a lot of blood and something really weird.

So I would not recomended you this film. It is not for horror lovers at all. And it is not for film lovers. Others can watch xD

The second is "Final Destination 5":

I hope that it is real FINAL for this story. 

When I was eight, I watched the first part of "Final Destination" and I absolutely loved this plot, and how was it made, and how was it look, I just absolutely loved this film. 

Then the second part came. I watched it, too. My feelings were not like after watching first part but that was not bad, at all. 

Then the third part came. I had weird mood about it because I thought that second part will end it all. But I watched third, too. And that started to lose it's interest. But that was interesting enough and funny at moments.

The the fourth part came. And I was like: "Are you kidding me?". But that did not stop, so I watched that part. I was upset about it because it really lose it's line.

And now.. The fifth part came. I really hope that it is the last part because moviemakers are going mad from their doing. After watching this part I said to myself: "What the fuck was that?". 

So.. I will not watch it again. The first part and the second - yes. But not the others.

 I decided that seventeenth day of August Maraphon must be Stephen King's day. Because I love his books. And films by them is pretty nice, too, if you do not read his novels. Because moviemakers love to cut out something special from book which they are making films by. So.. O'kay. Two more films to my thrift-box of watched things by Stephen King's works.

The first one is "Needful Things":

Actually, I thought it will be better.

When I was at sanatorium, I have no idea what to do while quiet hour. So.. When I was walking , together with my parents, we bought first Stephen King's book. And that was "Carrie" which has not really good film by. Because they cut out the best scene, where Carrie burns evrything what was on her way. But book is very interesting. 

So.. On the next weekend we came to that shop again and bought another Stephen King's novel. That was "Needful Things". Book is just awesome. I read all 690 pages by one breath like I read "Carrie". And I thought that film must be great but.. It was not. It was boring. Like I had read something other. 

I think that moviemakers do not need to make films by Stephen King's novels because it is usually turns up bad, not such great as book.

For today I watched two films. One of them is about to be classic and the other one is just very powerful, like people say. So.. Let's talk about them without very long start.

The first one is "Halloween":

I watched the old one - classic of John Carenter's works. I can say with no doubt that I am against all re-makes of amazing old horror. For example, this film.

John Carpenter made creepy and just wonderful atmosphere for horror so you watch it with fear in your viens  and you can't stop. But last "Halloween 2007" directed by Rob Zombie has lost his creepy thing, it became another bloody-maniac horror. That's not that interesting story, that is something else. 

Re-makes of old horrors losing their line, their catching thing, they are losing all that lovely moments which were creepy for you. I do not understand why do people need to make re-makes. Don't touch classics!

Actually, I have not got any desire to watch it because I thought that it will be bad. I spent a lot of  my time watching films which people are saying that they are good but they were not like that at all. So I was upset today and clicked to watch this thing and, you know, this film is very powerful.

Despite that fact that motion in it goes in the bad way the most time, this film has atmosphere of reality. Just like you are in that trap. So you watch and learn what shuld you do if you wanna stay alive. I think that not everyone could stay alive because it's really hard. But if you have to so.. What should you do?
